A.3 - Similar Differences, Different Similarities

Holy Motherlode . . . I haven't updated this blog since MARCH?! Uh . . . sorry? All of these screenies are from way back when, too. So this should be really fun, trying to remember what in the heck is going on . . . .

So, we start off with our current heir Archimedes . . . on the computer . . . yep. I think he's studying rival teams or some such for his athletic career.

And here's Archie's wife Nora, cooking some spaghetti it looks like. She's currently in the Business career, headed for the Financial track.

First born of the B generation, Bagheera. No doubt working toward his Rambunctious Scamp aspiration through the keyboard commander game, and little shown of his Mean trait.

Second-born in a set of twins as well as the over-all gen, Baloo. Creative trait with the Artistic Prodigy aspiration, hard at work with the violin.

And finally, youngest of the B brood, Bambi. Also with the Creative trait and the Artistic Prodigy aspiration.

My three little clone babies. They aren't ACTUALLY clones, but the boys are freakishly similar in appearance. Here's hoping they manage some individuality in their teen years. Until then, homework party!

BAGHEERA - I'm your favorite, right dad?

ARCHIE - I can't pick favorites, son. Except maybe for sandwiches. This is definitely my favorite sandwich. Sweet, sweet BLT goodness . . . .

BAGHEERA - I'll show him! I'll just be the first to finish my childhood aspiration!

And he was! Physically Gifted trait earned!

His brothers weren't far behind him, though. Baloo finishes out his violin-playing requirements (in his undies) and earns his Creatively Gifted trait.

Then it was Bambi's turn. Bonus traits for everyone!

If you'll recall, our founders Walt and Molly passed away last chapter. I'm constantly catching Nora sneaking out back to mourn them. Which wouldn't be that big of a deal if it didn't give her a 2 hr sad mood to mope through.

It just wouldn't be the Disney house if Arthur wasn't coming by every day, ringing the doorbell oozing loneliness and desperation.

Twin hip bump!

A nice little family dinner. Rare occasion, as Archimedes tends to have an opposite schedule as the rest of them. He works at night and sleeps for most of the day. Must be a day off for him though.

The boys get in some quality play time on their pirate ship one afternoon.

CAPTAIN BAGHEERA - Ho! I spy something off the port bow!

BOSUN BAMBI - Hard to port!

CAPTAIN BAGHEERA - Run out the guns, Baloo!

FIRST MATE BALOO - Aye-aye, Cap'n!

Oops, looks like Archie did something bad . . . I'm guessing a bad game at work that gave him an embarrassed mood?

Walt's ghost don't care tho. Not when there's salad to be eaten. <3

WALT - I'm glad we get the chance to get to know each other, grandson.

BAGHEERA - Me too, Grampa Walt.

Only in the sims, and it warms the heart cockles.

It was about here that Get to Work was released, giving us photography. Thus we immortalize Archie and Nora in photo portraits just in case someone doesn't learn to paint them in time.

In case you were curious, yes. Archie totally still loves the pool. For realsies.

Now that the boys could also meet friends at school, I waited to see who they would chance upon . . . for . . . 'future reasons.' Bagheera is the first to make one such friend.

This adorable little thing is named Elsa . . . .

And while cloud-gazing that afternoon they became fast friends.

Baloo also met a female acquaintance and invited her over . . . a pretty red-head by the name of Ariel.

Elsa and Ariel were both invited inside to hang out that evening. Yes, I downloaded and placed a family of child aged disney princesses. Regrets, I have none. Whomever the boys meet and befriend first will be their chosen spouse (unless something drastic happens later on to change that choice).

Now it was down to Bambi. Whom would he meet and bring home to mama?

Hail to the princess Aurora. <3

Bambi continues working on his creativity even after completing his aspiration. Either he or Baloo will end up being the portrait painter in the future.

Lookit, it's GHOST MOLLY! <3

MOLLY - These eggs are fantastic, Nora! Your cooking has really improved!

NORA - Thanks, Moll. I sort of didn't have much of a choice after you died . . .

And I'm not entirely sure which child that is . . . I THINK it's Bagheera? Maybe? They're entirely too similar.

Archie's coming right along on his work promotions . . . *sigh* Arthur, really? Go. Away.

Uh oh, Bagheera's actually angry for once. A bad chance card must've happened at school. His brothers are still super-chill though.

BALOO - So, Bagh, what're we gonna do today--

BAGHEERA - Imma stop you right there, bro.

BAGHEERA - Pool party time.

BALOO - Excellent choice, bro.

Bambi still looks a little skeptical though.

Ariel stopped by that evening, and Baloo made sure to get in some more socialization. You can never have too much, after all. Well, unless you're Arthur. *narrow eyes*

Awweh, no sadz Walt! You're not allowed!

The super duo of Walt and Molly managed to upgrade most of the plumbing and appliances, but we still have some things break every now and then. And Archimedes gets sent to fix it, like the uuber dad that he is.

It's the weekend and Baloo spends his playing dolls with Ariel.

Meanwhile Bagheera shows off his pirate ship to Elsa. And I mean that in the most SFW way possible. They're still childrenz after all . . .

Bambi is cracking his parents up with jokes. Not sure why Aurora didn't come over, it's been too long now. Perhaps she was busy?

But look who else stopped by! HAI ANNA!

ANNA - Heyo.

Just in time, too, because it's the twins' birthday! Bagheera steps up to the hamburger cake first, then Baloo.

I give you a very grumpy teenaged Bagheera Disney. He rolls the Neat trait and the Serial Romantic aspiration, as well as the Alluring bonus trait. Uh oh . . . not very promising for a legacy, let alone a Disney-themed one.

BAGHEERA - And that's my fault . . . how?

I didn't say it was, cool your pants off sir.

In comparison, his twin Baloo was much more laid-back. Also, no longer identical. Bagheera takes more after his mother in the face and lips department, while Baloo is more Archie.

Baloo rolls the Loner trait and the Fabulously Wealthy aspiration, giving him the Business Savvy bonus trait.

Baloo gets started on painting immediately, hoping to get high enough skill to paint his parents' portraits before they age into elders.

While Bagheera goofs off on the gaming rig.

They're still as close as a pair of twins can be, despite their personality differences. There's nothing like bonding over silly cat videos after all.

After school Baloo invited Ariel over to try out the birthday cake his mother whipped up.

BAGHEERA - Go on, blow out the candles. It'll be FIIIIINE.

Suspicions, Ariel has them.

But she eventually did, and Baloo approved of the results. The hat is unfortunate, but only a minor annoyance.

ARIEL - #selfie-tastic

BALOO - Teehee. <3

As they were good friends from childhood, Baloo celebrated her aging up with the highest of fives.

And then got his flirt on. Ariel was quite receptive.

Then he sat down to enjoy some of his hamburger birthday cake. Meanwhile Bagheera was overseeing his own childhood friend's cake-up.

Daww! Elsa's adorably nerdy-looking! A cute contrast to Bagheera's bad-boy image, IMO.

She's also quite receptive to the flirtations thrown her way over cake.

Being a Serial Romantic sim, there was no other choice in PJs for Bagheera than the heart-boxers. It was destiny.

BAGHEERA - One sec, I gotta update my profile on Plumbook . . .

The older twins are still really close to Bambi. Bagheera makes sure to give his lil bro a hug before school.

Then he heads out to the treadmill. I haven't decided what his career path will be, should Bagheera inherit the legacy. But for now I figure a gym-rat attitude fits with his desired playa lifestyle.

Baloo is still painting away and Bambi is enjoying the last few days of his childhood. Complete with a heaping dose of Crazy Eyes it seems . . .

ARCHIMEDES - I can hardly believe it's my adult birthday today . . . seems like time flew right by me. I'm not ready to be old.

NORA - Aw, don't worry Archie. You'll still be the hottest thing around in my eyes.

I had a wild hair and decided to throw our Gen-A heir an actual birthday party.

Family and friends were invited. Arthur is the first to arrive because OF COURSE he is. Behind him we have a slightly depressed Elsa, Ariel and then Aurora waaay in the back, there.

And of course, no party would be complete without Anna.

Baloo is quick to single Ariel out for some schmoozing. Looks like she's still a bit skeptical though.

But not for long.

ARIEL - OMP these drinks are AMAZING.

BALOO - Aren't they? Dad only pays for the best when it comes to parties.

BAGHEERA - Aw, c'mon Elsa! What're you doing, hiding in here? The party's out there! C'mon, you should let me dance with you!

ELSA - *giggle* O-okay!

SO. PRECIOUS.

His mom and dad already had that same idea though, it looks like. Bambi and Aurora too. Meanwhile Anna throws them some epic side-eye.

. . . .

Seriously, Arthur?

ARTHUR - Rats! They disabled the webcam feature!

*sigh*

Time for the main event! Archimedes steps up to the cake to blow out his candles and officially enter adulthood.

And as Nora predicted, he's still the hottest thing on the block. Rawr.

Much cake was eaten, much teenage flirtations were thrown.

Baloo and Ariel were the first to secure a First Kiss and the status of BF/GF.

But Bagheera and Elsa weren't that far behind them.

All in all, a great way to round out a birthday party if I do say so myself. And that's it for this installment of the Disneys! Here's hoping the next update doesn't take seven months . . . O_o Until then, happy simming!
