We find ourselves on the lone 60x60 lot in Oasis Springs with our aptly named founder, Walt Disney! Say hi Walt!
WALT - S'up.
Riveting. Walt here is a Creative, Childish Bookworm with the aspiration of becoming a Bestselling Author and founding a 26-generation legacy starring alphabetized Disney characters. Ambitious stuff.
WALT - Go big or go home.
Indeed.
As per standard TS4 legacy rules we purchased this spiffy suit of armor to kick our funds down to 1,800, then Sir Rust'a'lot got stuffed into the family inventory, never to be seen again.
SIR RUST'A'LOT - Rude.
With our remaining simoleons we managed to buy a double-bed, a fridge, a table and chair, a shower and a toilet. I prefer to be able to take care of most needs on the home lot. For now we can go out into the world to take care of job requirements and what-not.
Speaking of job requirements, it's time to get a job Walt!
WALT - Way ahead of yah, Watcher. On hold with a publishing company right now.
Yep, as one might expect Walt got himself a job in the Writing career. After that it was off to the library in Willow Creek to get started on that writing skill and perhaps scope out some potential spouses.
I thought we'd gotten pretty lucky right off the bat with this one here. The redhead's name was Tiara (I mean TIARA . . . princess . . . perfect?) and she and Walt seemed to hit it off pretty well over their computer monitors. But after wasting 4+ hours of socialization we learned she was non-committal.
BOO! I'm not bothering with that in the founding generation.
My solution was to download and install a legacy-loves family from the gallery. After only another hour or so of writing at the computer, lo-and-behold one of the blonde beauties showed up and sat down.
And, I kid you not, it was like DESTINY.
Her name was Molly Parsons (I think, not 100% on the last name). It took only moments to learn that she was a Creative Genius, and for Walt to decide that he wanted her.
For real. He promptly rolled all-Molly-related-whims for the next 3 hours.
WALT - C'mon, Molly. What's the harm in moving in with a guy you just met at the library and have only talked to for a few hours? This is the sims, there's no such thing as ax murdering rapists. Plus, I'm founding a Disney-themed legacy. If you're not safe with someone named Disney, you're not safe with anyone.
MOLLY - Well, when you put it like that . . .
And just like that, Molly Parsons joined the household. And the first thing she did was test the toilet.
Sims.
I already mentioned that Molly was a Creative Genius, but she's also Neat with the aspiration of a Nerd Brain. And cute as a button. I love her. Kudos to whomever created the sim (I forgot to write it down, <--fail).
After bladder needs were seen to I sent her back to the library with Walt. She got started on building her logic skill with a book while Walt continued writing his first book. In between being ridiculously proud of himself, that is.
WALT - Imma marry that.
Yes Walt, we know.
Molly managed to get most of 2 skill points in logic by reading the book. I sent her around the area collecting rocks and frogs for extra funds while Walt finished up.
Then back on the home lot they continued their socialization. That book there on the table is the fruits of Walt's literary labor ; Snow White and the Seven Gnomes.
Walt and Molly started getting a little flirty. Night was approaching and we only had one bed. That meant they were going to have to share it . . . .
Molly throws out some sexy poses . . .
. . . and then Walt surprises her with the First Kiss!
Then he asked her to be his Girlfriend, just because we could. Luckily Molly was receptive.
WALT - She said yes!!!1!1
MOLLY - Walt! Be careful, you're gonna break your neck!
Walt would not be denied, though.
MOLLY - Oh my . . . well then, I think we should continue this conversation over there. Without clothes.
WALT - Best. Day. Ever.
I'd also like to point out that this is his FIRST day ever. XD
I had planned on keeping them platonic BF/GF for a little while. But their whims said otherwise, and I aim to be a pleasing Watcher for my simmies.
*puts on Marvin Gaye and walks away*
The next day Walt had work and Molly, who I signed up for the Tech Guru career, had the day off. Thus I sent her to the park to play some chess and continue with that logic skill.
She happened to meet one of her fellow legacy-love-blonde-mates there and shared a few rousing games together.
We can't afford a computer yet/Walt hasn't earned one, so he gets sent to the library to continue writing. And musing on his own good fortune too, it seems.
He knows he did good.
Both have job/aspiration requirements to read books, so they end up doing this a lot too.
And as soon as the reading is done, Walt puts on the moves. And Molly lets him.
Wolly - Official 'Ship name.
I love them. To pieces. For realsies.
I seriously pic-spammed the heck out of them. I'm trying not to kill you all with it, but it's hard.
This was just an excuse to show off Walt's bunny slippers. CUTE!
Molly ends up with a lot of days off, weirdly enough. This gives her a chance to start working on some of those domestic legacy skills we'll need though, like cooking.
Here it is, folks. The first Earwax Salad of the Disney Legacy.
After a few days and some extra funds in the bank, I deemed it time to go ahead and make things official. Walt pops the question . . . !
. . . and Molly happily accepts, as we all know she would. Engagement spam!
They then had a quickie ceremony on the home lot, in the dark. True legacy-style.
#legacylegit
I didn't get a shot of it, but they then immediately hopped into bed and tried for the first baby.
Molly did the test the next morning, but unfortunately it was negative. She's covered in dirt because after the recent patch, whenever their hygiene gets low they actually LOOK dirty. A pretty cool touch in my opinion.
I felt so bad for her though, she's the first sim I've seen that got a sad moodlet from the negative test. 'Failed to Conceive.' Poor bb! Don't worry, Walt has NO problems trying again.
WALT - None at all!
See?
He even made sure to romance her over breakfast. The Serenade interaction is so precious.
Later that night, after both of them were home from work . . . he shoots her this look. I swear, I have never seen a sim so completely smitten.
Also, he managed to get a promotion and the free computer that came with it. Yay Walt!
WALT - Soooo . . . you ready for round 2?
MOLLY - Round 2?
WALT - Baby's not gonna make itself, babe!
You sir are shameless.
WALT - But effective!
And that time we had toilet confetti! Yaaaaay, first baby of the A generation is officially on its way!
And the confetti hadn't even disappeared yet before Molly popped her bump and got queasy. Poor thing.
The couple had enough of a nest egg that I built them their first windowless box. Yaaay privacy!
Molly's middle-of-the-night pee broke the toilet. Normally I'd make Walt repair that stuff, but she needed to repair something for her aspiration.
Only time, I swear!
MOLLY - Sure, you say that now . . .
As much as she wanted it, this pregnancy isn't being kind to poor Molly. She threw up all over the floor just after this.
See? Walt got to fix the sink while Molly gets her much needed nappies.
Just Molly . . . trying to kill herself . . . .
She had plates in her hand, I canceled the clean up action and told her to mop the floor/ground. Instead of putting down the stack of plates, she just decided to impale herself with the mop and break her wrist into the bargain.
O_o Quality blooper-pic material.
It was back to the park for some more rounds of chess while Walt ran around collecting for extra cash.
TIARA - So . . . you're pregnant. Already. That could've been me, I guess . . .
MOLLY - Too bad, so sad. Also, checkmate.
She beat her twice in a row, lol. Molly is a chess-sharp.
Two other of the legacy-love-blondes stopped by and Molly shared the good news of her impending motherhood.
PINK TOP - Really?! Congrats, Molls!
LEATHER VEST - Pff. Whatever. I don't even care.
Keep telling yourself that, sweetie.
Back home I used some of Walt's hard-earned gains to buy Molly a woodworking bench. Expensive thing, but her aspiration required she make something with it and I didn't know where any were out in the world.
. . . although I suppose I could've just plopped one down on a community lot . . . hindsight is 20/20.
She successfully carved this little horse statue, which became their dining-table centerpiece. He shall here-unto be known as Maximus, named for the horse in Tangled.
I also splurged on a chess table so the preggers Molly wouldn't have to keep going out to the park to play.
I spoil her. I'm as bad as Walt. -_-
The pregnancy is coming right along! Look at that belly! It won't be long now!
*An hour later*
MOLLY - Ohmygosh! I think I'm in labor! Walt!
WALT - Just a minute, sweetie. Gotta wash my hands, here . . .
Why? O_o
Molly decided to nap away her 3 hours of labor. Meanwhile Walt decided to eat his toast and eggs inside beside her which I thought was MEGA precious.
He was fast asleep once the timer ran out, however. Molly went outside to where the bassinet helpfully materialized and proceeded to take care of business.
Tadaaaaah! The butterfly onesie means it's a girl!
Presenting Anna Disney! She rolled the trait of Bookworm like her father, and is destined to be an Artistic Prodigy.
And in case you've been living under a rock for the past 3 years and don't know what Disney's Frozen is, Anna is named after this adorable princess.
But wait, there's more! Yes, my game decided to troll me right out of the gate with unexpected twins. -_-
This little monkey onesie is Anna's twin brother, Arthur Disney.
Arthur is born with the Perfectionist trait and will test my resolve with the dreaded Social Butterfly aspiration.
And if you had no childhood, then you don't know that Arthur is named for this classic cutie - the lead in Disney's Sword in the Stone;
ANNA - *already screaming*
ARTHUR - What's that? Heirship in the bag? Yeah, I think so.
Hush you. From the bassinet is way too early to start calling that stuff, not to mention you still need at least one more sibling.
Plus you're an infant, you can't talk yet. So there.
Well then, the A generation is off to an interesting start! Walt and Molly better get those checks rolling in though if we're going to afford twins right out of the gate . . . Can they handle the workload?
Find out next time! Until then, happy simming!
